Barnaby Bunny, with fur so white,
Prepared for a race, with all his might.
The sun was setting, painting the sky,
"Ready to run!" he called with a sigh.
Page 4
Waffles the puppy, tail a-blur,
Yipped with excitement, "Let's make a stir!"
A race to bedtime, under the moon,
Who'll reach dreamland, coming so soon?
Page 6
They dashed through the meadow, fireflies bright,
A shimmering pathway, throughout the night.
Barnaby hopped, with leaps so grand,
While Waffles ran swiftly, across the land.
Page 8
A babbling brook, a gentle stream,
They hopped and they splashed, living the dream.
Over the stones, with careful pace,
Each step they took, in this sleepy place.
Page 10
Up a small hill, they started to climb,
The moon shining softly, marking the time.
Their paws felt heavy, their eyes growing sleepier,
But dreamland was closer, the thought much sweeter.
Page 12
At last, in their bed, so snug and deep,
Barnaby and Waffles, drifted to sleep.
The race was over, the winner unknown,
But friendship and dreams, had lovingly grown. Now close your eyes and let sleep come to you, as the moon watches over, gentle and true.
Join Barnaby the bunny and Waffles the puppy in a friendly race to see who gets to dreamland first! A sweet bedtime story about friendship and fun.
