A grumpy bear learns the joy of friendship when a cheerful bunny hops into his life, bringing sunshine to his gloomy cave.

Barnaby the bear was a creature of habit. He liked his cave dark, his berries plentiful, and his naps long. He grumbled at the chirping birds and sighed at the buzzing bees. The world outside seemed too bright and too noisy for Barnaby. He preferred his quiet, solitary cave, even if it felt a little lonely sometimes. One crisp morning, a tiny shadow appeared at his cave entrance.

It was Pip, a bunny with a hop in her step and a smile on her face. "Hello!" she chirped, holding up the flower. "I thought you might like this!" Barnaby blinked. No one had ever brought him a flower before. Pip's cheerful voice and bright presence began to fill the cave with a warmth Barnaby hadn't known he was missing. He shuffled a little closer, a tiny smile twitching at his snout.
