Consistent characters.
Zero photo uploads.

MintMyStory uses a proprietary technology called Character Anchoring to solve the biggest problem in AI storytelling — keeping the hero looking exactly the same on every single page.

Standard AI

  • Face changes on every page turn
  • Requires uploading 10-20 photos of your child
  • Stores sensitive biometric data permanently

Character Anchoring

  • Hair, eyes, and clothes stay locked across 20+ pages
  • Works entirely from a short text description
  • 100% COPPA compliant with zero biometric tracking

How Character Anchoring Actually Works

1

Text-to-Identity Translation

Instead of uploading a photo, you give MintMyStory a description: "A 6-year-old Asian boy with glasses, short black hair, wearing a red hoodie."

Our Character Engine translates this simple description into a highly dense, multi-token "Anchor Prompt" that diffusion models understand deeply.

2

Deterministic Seed Locking

In standard AI art, the starting "noise" is random every time, resulting in a new face. MintMyStory assigns a mathematical lock (a fixed seed) to your character's identity for the duration of that specific storybook.

3

Compositional ControlNets

A character doesn't just stand still in a story. They run, sleep, and fly.

We use lightweight pose-control networks to guide the character's geometry through the action of the plot, while the Anchor Prompt continuously enforces their physical traits (the glasses, the red hoodie, the hair).

Why Consistency Matters for Early Readers

Cognitive Load & Object Permanence

When an adult reads a graphic novel, they can track a character even if the artist's style shifts slightly. A 5-year-old's brain is still developing object permanence and facial recognition tracking.

If the hero's face or hair color changes on page 4, the child spends cognitive energy trying to figure out who the "new" person is, breaking their immersion in the narrative. Character Anchoring prevents this cognitive friction.

The Biometric Privacy Alternative

The alternative to Character Anchoring is uploading your child's photo. This extracts their facial geometry—creating permanent biometric data.

By relying entirely on text-based anchoring, MintMyStory ensures your child's digital footprint remains perfectly clean. The character in the book belongs to the story, while your child's real face stays private.
